Business processes can be run, like a workflow, based off a starting rule. They can also be run manually from the Workflow Designer, the Workflow Administration Console, and the Laserfiche client applications.
Run a business process from the Workflow Designer when trouble-shooting or analyzing the design of your business process definition by using the Run Current Workflow option.

A business process can be invoked by a workflow or another business process that has been configured with the Invoke Workflow activity.
Business processes, like workflows, can be assigned starting rules. You can assign starting rules instead of, or in conjunction with, business process rules. A business process that is assigned a starting rule will run when a set of predefined conditions are met or when a specific schedule occurs. If assigned a starting rule, the business process will run on the following occasions:
